Ladakh trip, 24.8 – 14.9.2009 
 
Vor nun über einer Woche kam ich zurück von der Reise nach Ladakh und ich bin noch immer sehr erfüllt von den Eindrücken und ich denke, diese Reise wird noch lange nachwirken. 

Dank unserem tollen Reiseleiter Angduc Tsering habe ich das Gefühl, dieses Land und die Menschen mit dem Herzen aufgenommen zu haben. Durch seine Liebe zu seinem Land und die aufgeschlossene Art brachte er mir die Kultur näher und den Buddhismus. Er war immer flexibel in Bezug auf die Gruppe und versuchte auf alle Wünsche einzugehen mit einer Ruhe und Gelassenheit, die sehr wohltuend war. 

Wenn er dann beim Essen, welches übrigends ebenso hervorragend war, kleine Geschichten zum Besten gab aus seinem Leben oder über den Buddhismus konnte man nur gespannt zuhören und sich freuen, sein Lachen genießen und sich davon anstecken lassen. 

Wir hatten die ganze Reise über sehr gute Unterkünfte, wurden immer sehr nett aufgenommen und mit dem guten Essen verwöhnt. Tagsüber waren wir dann mit einem kleinen Bus unterwegs und einem wunderbaren Fahrer, der uns über die zum Teil sehr steilen Straßen sicher von einem Ort zum anderen brachte. Auf längeren Strecken gab es dann immer eine gute Pause mit Lunchpäckchen zur Stärkung. 

Ich hatte wirklich die ganze Zeit das Gefühl wunderbar aufgehoben zu sein und war sehr froh, mit einem einheimischen Reiseleiter unterwegs zu sein, der zudem noch sehr gut deutsch spricht, denn vieles wäre uns sonst sicher entgangen. Ich hoffe, es werden noch viele Menschen in den Genuß seiner Leitung kommen und ich wünsche ihm und Deertour noch viele Gäste, die sicher mit einem zufriedenen Lächeln von der Reise zurückkommen.

Ladakh trip, 24.8 – 14.9.2009, guided by Tsering Angduc  

It was a marvelous and enjoyable tour I shall not forget. Though I usually do travelling just by myself to be most independent, I never had the feeling to be just one group member. Many thanks go to Angduc who succeeded to give us a vivid impression of Ladakhian tradition and customs within the short period of three weeks. And also a glimpse at the beauty of this desert like area. I am sure I shall be back to Ladakh or Zanskar soon.

Ladakh trip, 24.8 – 14.9.2009 

I have just come back from a three weeks trip to Ladakh with a group of Germans guided by Angdus Tsering. To me, it was a wonderful trip. Not only did I like the region very much with its breathtaking landscapes and the contrasts between mountains, desert-like valleys, green villages and colourful buddhist monasteries. But I also enjoyed very much the way that we travelled and got to know the country with Angdus as a guide. Since he has lived in Germany, but has his origin in Ladakh, he was able to introduce his country to us in an authentic way and at the same time, he could understand our way of perceiving Ladakhi culture. As practising buddhist, he was also able to let us experience what Buddhism is about. All in all, I can say we had a great time and a lot of fun. Im back to everyday life now with a lot of good memories, and I hope to come back to Ladakh in the future. 

Viel, viel Spaß in Ladakh!

Dear Deer Tour Team, Dear Angduc, 

I spent my holidays with you from the 24th of July to the 14th of August in 2009 with your tour guide Anguc. 

We started off in Delhi which was hot and where the group of us (nine persons) was welcomed by very high humidity - but I was surprised to find out that Delhi is much tidier than expected and almost without smoke. We felt all rather wrecked as the flight was late while we explored the city the first day. Beautiful pictures could be made and the Rickshaw-Ride was very nice indeed.  

Finally we got after a wonderful flight (having seats at the window we made fabulous pictures) to Leh and used the first day according to the wise advise of our guide just to relax and get accustomed to the altitude.  

After that every single day was characterised by interesting and astonishing sights. Our guide was more than willing to give us a real insight to his country and kinsmen as well as to culture and customs. Angduc had quite often new proposals in mind of what could be done in addition to the planned programme so that we were well engaged most of the time. Luckily this was not a stressful hassle as we got mostly for the each member of the group enough time for every enterprise. So we did slowly but constantly things together and had therefore enough time to enjoy our undertakings.  

Ladakh was rather Himalayan than Indian and the people there are calm, easy, extraordinary friendly and seem to be satisfied and happy. Drinking tea with them, eating Tsampa together made me satisfied and I had the feeling of being at one with the world ... ;-)  

We were a lucky group as Angduc often managed to get updates at the accommodations for us and the weather was constantly fine. Even passing the Khardung-La we had a cloudless sky.  

Thanks a lot for this incredible and deeply in my memory imprinted wonderful holiday, and special thanks to our dedicated guide Angduc!
