Ladakh is also called the land of high passes, thus several motorable high passes involves to reach remote regions of which the Khadunla pass is the WORLD’S HIGHEST MOTORABLE ROAD at an amazing altitude of 18380 Fts. above the sea level.

Ladakh is assessable by road from Srinagar over the high pass of Zogi-la 11500 Fts. and from Manali over the high pass of Rohtang la and Taglang-la pass 17469 Fts. Both of the roads remains closed during the winters cutting the area from rest of the world for 6 months.
